On the Dutch frontpage you already could have read about a car manufacturer from South Africa who is building a supercar. But that isn’t the only car from Africa. The Perana Z-One also has his routs from that continent. The car is designed by the world famous design company Zagato, so this must be a great looking car.
The producer is expecting quite a lot from this car. It is expected to be sold for just €50,000.- (excluding all taxes). They want to produce about 1,000 cars. This is quite a lot for an unknown “super”car manufacturer. If you want to sell this much cars you should have got something nice to offer. The Perana Z-One is powered by a 6,2 liter V8, which produces 440 bhp, due to the low weight, just 1,195 kg the car is pretty fast. In just four seconds you reach 100 km/h.
The performance of the car isn’t the main issue to buy this car, the looks are. The design of this car is a combination of different elements we’ve seen in the previous years. It's an Italian mix of Alfa Romeo, Ferrari but you can also see some English details. The car isn’t ugly so maybe this manufacturer can make it work with this Z-One.
