The Bentley Arnage is getting quite old and now the time for a replacement has come. It is coming and we showed you some vague photo’s of this new Bentley before. This time we have some more information about the “Grand Bentley” and a new teaser.
At the end of the summer this new Bentley is going to be reveiled and as it looks now we don’t want to see it, hopefully Bentley is going to come with something totally different. The car is going to have the 6.75 liter V8 that has been around since 1959, when it was used for the first time in the Bentley S2 Continental. Of course the engine was improved in the course of time and it was improved again compared to the version that could be found in the Arnage. There are also rumours about a version that can run on bio-ethanol, but this isn’t certain yet. We can expect 550 bhp from this engine with which the Bentley should be capable of a top speed of 320 km/h.
This new Bentley should jack up the sales and profit numbers of Bentley because the car should be able to reach a wider public and is going to be easier to produce. The car will be sold at around 250.000 Euro and that’s the same as the current Arnage costs without taxes. If the Bentley will sell with these looks remains the question, because we aren’t attracted. Luckily the Azure and Brooklands remain in production for a while after the introduction.
