Here’s the first BMW M5 G90 on our site spotted without camouflage. This German behemoth aims to make all previous M5s a distant memory.
When it comes to power, the new M5 G90 is right on target. However, we don’t understand how BMW dares to sell a 2,435 kilogram car as a sports car. Comparisons have already been made in recent weeks, but we’ll add our own. The M5 weighs as much as a Bentley Bentayga or a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. It’s incredible, but BMW engineers have undoubtedly put a lot of effort into making the car drive well. The substantial weight comes from the batteries on board that power the electric motors. The driver of this brand-new M5 in Beausoleil at least plugs the car in to fully recharge the battery. This way, the M5 has 727 hp available - 102 hp more than the previous BMW M5 Competition. But does that justify the weight?
