Here we have the first spot on our site of the brand new Porsche 992 Carrera GTS Cabriolet MkII, spotted in Böblingen, Germany. This vehicle is a factory test car, so it will take a while before we start seeing the first customer cars on the streets. Porsche plans to begin deliveries of the Carrera in late summer in Germany, with the 992 Carrera GTS arriving at dealerships by the end of the year.
The 992 Carrera MkII retains a slightly revised version of its predecessor's engine, while the facelifted 992 Carrera GTS introduces a newly developed single-turbo engine with more displacement. Porsche is only offering the 992 MkII with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission at launch, and the lack of a manual option is honestly a bit disappointing. A manual transmission may be available in the next generation 992 GT3.
The Porsche 992 Carrera GTS MkII is available as both a Coupé and Cabriolet with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, and as an all-wheel-drive Targa. All GTS models come standard with PDK and start at €170,600.
