IAA 2015: Artega Scalo

Artega was never very successful with their GT and that's partly why the company went bankrupt. As many car manufacturers they restarted their business and now they will show us their newest creation on the IAA in Frankfurt. Although, the car isn't completely new. Under the hood it is new and instead following other companies they now want to be the first to come up with something new. The Artega Scalo is an electrically powered sports car, one that has to revive the company Artega!

Yes, this are the correct photos. This really is the electrical version and indeed, this car looks a lot like the Artega GT. The 3.6 liter V6 is replaced by two electric engines which together produce 522 hp and 780 Nm of torque. This makes the car way faster than the gasoline version because you can now sprint to 100 kph in 3.6 seconds. But it's still the question how many people will like this car. The design is unique but we don't know if the driving experience is as good as other competitors offer. The driving range of this model is around 400 kilometers. We hope for Artega that this car will be a success but we doubt it with a price of 170.000 euros for an electric car.
