Lamborghini Urus SE: The next era of hybrid Super-SUVs

A brand-new Lamborghini Urus SE is being tested at the Nürburgring. We've already seen about a dozen Urus SEs, some wrapped in camouflage, while others are without it. Most sightings have been in Germany, with a few in the Netherlands and Italy. Personally, this new Urus doesn't appeal to me as much. I prefer the first generation or the Performante version. The new front and rear design just doesn’t seem to fit; it feels like it’s lost some of the aggressive character that made the original so special.

Overview:

The Urus SE is the next step in Lamborghini's journey toward full hybridization. This SE model is the first PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) version of the luxurious super-SUV. It sets new standards for the entire segment in terms of comfort, performance, efficiency, emissions, and driving experience.

The combination of combustion engine and electric power delivers a total of 800 PS, contributing to an impressive 80% reduction in emissions. The Urus SE is a revolutionary vehicle for those looking toward the future, offering exceptional performance, speed, unique driving modes, and enhanced dynamics.

Exterior:

The design of the Urus SE is even sportier than its predecessors. The updated lines are optimized for better aerodynamic efficiency, with improved downforce at the rear and enhanced cooling performance. The revised design emphasizes the SUV's dynamic shape and highlights its clear, powerful character. New elements include a sleek, flowing hood, headlights with Matrix LED technology, an optimized bumper and front grille, a new rear diffuser, and a redesigned rear light grille inspired by Lamborghini supercars like the Gallardo. To enhance the Urus SE's extraordinary character, Lamborghini offers a wide range of customization options for customers.

Interior:

The interior of the Urus SE embodies Lamborghini's “Feel like a pilot” philosophy, improving the interaction between the driver and the vehicle’s digital systems. Lamborghini's Centro Stile focused on emphasizing lightness, using anodized aluminum details and new trims for the dashboard and instrument cluster. The cabin features new design solutions throughout the front dashboard, and the technology has been upgraded with a more precise and intuitive Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and a specialized telemetry system integrated into the Lamborghini Infotainment System (LIS).

Specifications:

Engine displacement: 3996 cm³
Max. power (ICE + Electric): 800 PS at 6000 rpm
