The charm of Ferrari's V12 convertibles

The Ferrari SA Aperta is a rare sight on the road, with only 80 ever produced, making each encounter special. During that era, V12 convertible Ferraris were scarce; even the F12berlinetta lacked a convertible variant, except for special projects like the F12 TRS and F60 America. Nowadays, convertible V12s are more common, seen in models like the 812 GTS, 812 Competizione A, and 12Cilindri Spider.

Since 2011, our site has featured over 143 sightings of the SA Aperta, highlighting how popular it still is and how often it’s seen on the road. My personal favorite V12 convertible from Ferrari would likely be the F50, and the one-off GT Aperta that once graced Switzerland - a SA Aperta featuring the bodykit of the 599 GTO. As for the GT Aperta, details about it are almost nonexistent, making it one of the most mysterious Ferraris ever spotted on our site.

While technically all SA Apertas are based on the 599 GTO mechanically, their exteriors draw from the 599 GTB. Another favorite of mine is the blue one-off Ferrari SuperAmerica 45 that is based on the SA Aperta. What's your most favorite V12 convertible from Ferrari?
