The 'Green Goblin': A one-of-a-kind Koenigsegg Agera S returns to the streets

Meet the ‘Green Goblin,’ a rare and extraordinary hypercar. This is one of only five Koenigsegg Agera S models ever produced and stands out as the first built and the only one finished in exposed green carbon fiber. It first made waves in the automotive world when it was spotted on the streets of Hong Kong in mid-January 2013, before reappearing months later in Shenzhen, China. After almost a decade in Hong Kong, the car embarked on a new adventure in 2022, making its way to the UK and now gracing the streets of London with its presence.

The Agera S, an evolution of Koenigsegg’s iconic Agera line, was crafted for markets where E85 biofuel was unavailable, yet it didn’t compromise on performance. Despite running on conventional 98 octane RON or 93 octane DIN fuel, Koenigsegg engineers managed to extract an astounding 1,030 horsepower and 1,100 Nm of torque from its 5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. This incredible powertrain propelled the Agera S to top speeds exceeding 400 km/h.

Notably, the Agera S was the first Koenigsegg to feature the groundbreaking, in-house developed hollow carbon fiber Aircore wheels - an innovation that further emphasized the brand's commitment to lightweight performance. With its optimized-for-petrol-only engine, advanced aerodynamics, and cutting-edge technology, the Agera S remains a masterpiece of automotive engineering and a prized possession among hypercar enthusiasts.

Adding to its charm is the Agera S's license plate, "IOVE" (or "LOVE"), a distinctive touch that adds a personal flair to this extraordinary vehicle. Interestingly, this plate previously adorned a grey and silver Ferrari 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano - making the jump from the Ferrari to the Agera S quite the step up in the hypercar world.
