Everyone is of course familiar with the story of the exclusive Porsche 991 R. It was released in a limited edition and quickly sold out, partly due to dealers hoping to make a profit.
Some succeeded in this. Unfortunately, true enthusiasts were left out a bit. Porsche noticed this as well and responded with the 991 GT3 Touring. As a result, the price of the 991 R fell, leading many people to find themselves with a Porsche they had paid too much for. In the end, it's not so bad, as Porsche 991 R models are now available for between €400,000 and €500,000.
Well, you don’t see a Porsche 991 R on the road very often, so spotting one is quite exciting. Spotter Dylan came across one in a location that’s truly remarkable - near Austria’s highest mountain, the Großglockner. It must be fantastic to drive this Porsche, which is relatively understated for the average person, with 500 horsepower and a manual gearbox, over this mountain pass.
Fortunately, this particular example is being used and not just tucked away in a collection, because cars like this should be driven and enjoyed as often as possible!
