Tesla Motors opened its very first dealer in Europe. In central London, the Knightsbridge district, they will start their hopefully successful dealer network in Europe. The building measures 465 m² from where the first Tesla Roadsters will be delivered this summer.
For now only left hand drive versions will be available. Early 2010 the first cars for English customers that are waiting for a right hand drive version will be available. The first 250 roadsters are special editions, Signature Edition Roadster. These will be sold for 94,000 pounds a piece.
Tesla may count on a lot of publicity in Europe. In a short period of time the young company built an image and a name for itself. This will be only to their profit in the coming years. Already 1,300 Tesla Roadsters have been sold. Within a short period of time dealerships will be started in Zurich, Munich and Monaco to further develop the distribution of this, for now, exclusive brand.
